I'm so in Awe.

I just noticed on Ben's calendar, that he counted three days back from "Easter" and wrote in "Jesus Died" in the square.    
I love this boy! and love that he thought of that all on his own. I don't even know when he marked that on his calendar. I love it.

Sand Hollow

Feeling a like we wanted to do something fun as a family, Joe and I headed to Sand Hollow. I had never been there before, and neither had the boys. It was awesome! How did I live in St. G for four years and never visit?! The weather was perfect -it was still early March and we were out enjoying water and a sunny beach. How awesome is that?!

 Kole had only passed away a little while before, and we figured Kally would LOVE getting out and playing. She totally had a great time too. It was nice to have her included in our day.

 

 Joe and the boys built sandcastles. They were very particular, and they did a great job. I think they're hooked.

Just a week later, Grandma came to visit, so we went to Sand Hollow again, so she could enjoy it. The boys were thrilled to be back there again, and it was another successful day playing!

One of the things I like the most about St. George, is the fact that in March I can go hiking with my boys! It was a beautiful day -the perfect temperature, It's Spring Break for Ben and Kade, and I want to make sure we get and out do stuff this week. Today I was really feeling the need to just go and be with "me and the boys". No friends and no distractions. (although we've had that this week too.)

 A friend showed me a kid friendly hike in Snow Canyon. They hadn't hiked it yet, so it was perfect.

 I love the sight of my three little...oops...BIG boys outside on a beautiful day. I love that they wear hats too. I've always loved that.

 Once we got to the end, before turning back around, we stopped for water and snacks.

 The boys enjoyed the varying landscape of rocks to sand. They found sticks, of course, to walk with and play in the sand with. Rocks, sticks and sand/dirt equal the best things on earth for little boys.

Carter did really well hiking along. Near the end he was pretty tuckered out and wanted to be carried. No problem. It was a great way to start a day, and a fun thing to add to the things we did on Spring Break. I love spending time with these amazing boys. They're fun, outgoing, and willing to do and try hard things. Ben even carried my back pack while I carried Carter and said, "I like to be challenged. This is my favorite part." I'm grateful for the memories made today.

Where Do They Get This Stuff?!

Kade just came out and announced that he flushed the toilet.....PURPOSELY.... because Ben is taking a shower. How does he even know that trick?! Hahaha


After Ben casually let one rip as he walked down the hall, I said, "Oh my goodness Ben, ya farty kid."

He matter of factly replied, "It's what I do."
