If You Let Them, They Will Clean!

Ben will do a pretty good job swifferin' the floor if I don't mind the time it takes for him to do it...which, for the most part I don't. It's funny what kids will do if they don't know it's a chore yet.

Is That A Smile?

Kade has smiled -for real- for the first time this past Wed. I tickled his cheeks and chin, and he looked right at me and smiled. Then he did it again later. So cute! This isn't that smile, but it gives you some idea of his cute little grin.

Puffy Cheek Boy.

It looks like Ben had his wisdom teeth out...but, really, he's just stuffed grapes in his cheeks. He's been storing food in his cheeks since Thanksgiving. He eventually eats his food...it's just a matter of time.

Mini Joe and Mini Holly!!

I think it is so funny how much Ben looks like me and how much Kade looks like Joe. I think both boys make Joe's expressions though. The top picture is funny to me, because Ben is so excited and Kade is all laid back -granted he can't get excited yet - but, it's just alot like me and Joe. I can get pretty excited sometimes, but Joe is usually laid back and "chill" about things. It's just funny to see the kids take after us the way they seem too. It will be fun to see how they grow and how their personalities develop. Kids are just amazing to me. I love being a mom!

What a Cute Boy!

Well, there's no doubt my genes had nothing to do with Kade's appearance. He looks just like Joe and makes all the same expressions! Lucky kid -he's good looking 'cause his dad's good looking.

I Turned My Back For Two Seconds......

I turned my back for two seconds, one day, and Ben got into the vaseline -I have no idea how he was able to reach it-but, he covered his face, hands, and clothes in it.
A few days later, I turned my back again and he got into my mascara and put it all over his face, hands, and clothes.
Kids are fast, ya can't leave 'em for a second. And just when you think things are high enough, or secured away, the kid will find a way to get into things and make a mess. Cute, but, not so cute.

Hope you like the pics...more are on way.

Here are just a few more pics of the boys. They are so cute.
Kade is already THREE weeks old. He is doing really well. He is the hardest kid to wake up, but sometimes he's the hardest kid to get to go to sleep. He is starting to focus, and it is so cool when he looks right at ya. And, he smiles all the time...does that mean he has gas?...probably, but we have already gotten to see his cute smile!
Ben is still adjusting, and he's getting better. But, he's two and I expect more ups and downs are coming. He is still talking like crazy...and lately, everything is "sooo" this or "sooo" that. For example, he'll say, "I am sooo poopy.", or "I am sooo hungry", or "I'm sooo cold."etc, etc. He's hilarious and very theatrical.
So serious. :)
Keepin' things modest....
It's sad to see him crying, but it's such a cute little face.

First Week Alone

I am half way through my first week alone with two kids. It has been better than I expected, but has still been quite a rollercoaster ride.
Ben had such a great time havin' Joe around to be his full time buddy, he is now having a hard time getting use to me dividing my attention and time. Hopefully, we'll establish a regular routine again and get things working smoothly. Oh the fun of kids!

Our New Family Blog

It seems about time we got a blog. Most of our friends seem to have one. We're finally gettin' around to it

All is going well with our family. We recently welcomed our new baby boy home. Kade Mathew was born at 5:28. He weighed 8lbs 8oz and was 20 and 1/2 inches long. Everything went beautifully with the labor and delivery. He was face up though and came out peein' on the nurses. He is very cute and very fun. We just love having him around.

Ben seems to be okay with having this new kid around. He's constantly kissing Kade and wanting to do things with him. He doesn't realize Kade can't "play" yet. Ben is growing so big, and with Kade home it feels like he got bigger over night.
Joe is going back to work after being home for two weeks with me. I am a little nervous to see how handling two kids will be all alone. Wish me luck! I am doing well and am feeling pretty good. My cold, that knocked me out for the most part of two weeks, is almost gone and I am happy about that.

Well, I guess that is ll for now! Hope you enjoy the pictures of Kade...we'll get some of Ben on soon.
